2010 MANITOU DEALER MEETING

We just got back from the 2010 Manitou dealer meeting in Lansing, Michigan. This was our first opportunity to see what Manitou has been working on for the 2010 model year and by the looks of things, they have been busy! Some of the changes include a new rounded bow and drivers console for the Aurora. The helm was also redesigned for the Oasis series. The new optional rear deck diamond plate vinyl flooring on the Xplode not only looks cool, but makes it easier to keep the rear deck looking good for years to come. The most exciting new feature for 2010 is the SES (stern entertainment seating) floorplan available on the 24 & 26 Encore and Legacy models. This new layout makes the rear of the boat the place to be! Two large seats facing the rear and a bench seat facing forward can be used with a table in between for entertaining or the whole thing can be transferred into a gigantic sun lounger. Stainless steel rails around the stern help make this boat a head turner. To top it all off, rear facing stereo speakers deliver music controlled by the remote conveniently located near the aft seating. Not only has Manitou done remodeling on the top side, they have also come up with a new pontoon system that eliminates the old three tube design. Manitou’s new VP design has the foundation of its award winning SHP design (23” outer tubes with a 27” center tube), aluminum underdeck waveshield and lifting strakes on the center tube. This setup is good for up to 150HP and unlike the SHP, can be put on the Aurora series. What this means is you can get sportboat performance and handling at a price that won’t break the bank!
